Not sure how this relates to the Saint Maker, but maybe a connection will reveal itself later.
I heard this story from someone who lives about 40 miles south of me in the Missouri boothheel. A man from Florida had packed up everything he owned and was walking across the US to Alaska. He was seen along the road and people had talked to him and knew what he was doing, wasn't a threat to anyone, just keeping to himself and moving a bit each day.
He made it to Steele, MO, and was stopped by Missouri Highway Patrol, and arrested (the source did not know the exact charges). He made bail somehow, and continued on his way for a few more days, before being arrested again. As far as the source knew that was the end of the road for this gentleman.
I tried searching (hoping the infamous 'Florida Man' would be useful) for any sort of news coverage, but found nothing. Source said this happened within the last year.
Just wanted to get this published somewhere, going to keep looking for further info, will update if I find anything.
